The Africa Agri-Food Improvement Program (AADP) is a collaboration in between the Department of Farming, Food and the Marine and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The Objective of the AADP is to develop partnerships in between the Irish Agri-Food Sector and African countries to support sustainable advancement of the local grocery store, construct markets for local vegetables and fruit and help shared sell between Ireland and Africa.
The partners consisted of must include one Irish registered agri food company and one local commercial entity in Africa;(*****************)
All recommended jobs must be commercial in nature and focus. Funding will simply be given to Irish registered agri food company.
AADP funding depends upon an optimum of EUR250,00 0 per company for a total task or EUR100,00 0 for an efficiency research study.
AADP funding will not surpass 50% of the costs of the task;(*****************)
The funds contributed by the Irish authorized agri food company must not comprise funding received from any other Irish Public moneying source.
If a prospect company was previously reliable in getting AADP funding, it requires to talk about clearly (in the application) the new task goals/outcomes and how they differ from those in the initial funding round.
If a prospect company proposes to perform an efficiency research study, it requires to include a list of ‘potential’ partners with the application.
Jobs will be supported in the list listed below countries– Botswana, Cóte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia;.
Funding from the AADP must produce additionality and not alter existing funding;(*****************)
Reliable AADP funding prospects will be encouraged to engage with Irish NGOs where possible on various components of the jobs i.e. Mechanical and Engineering, Task design, and so on.

Sustainable Improvement Impact (Economic, Social and Environmental).
Intervention thinking and commercial functionality.
Company experience and knowledge.
Task Tracking and Evaluation.
Analysis of danger, context and possible externalities.
