This is not a class or workshop. Corps Members invest 80% of their time in the field, participated in eco-friendly repair work tasks throughout the Puget Sound location of Washington State. Repair work is physically needing and happens outdoors in all environment condition.

Position Info.

STATUS: Exchange Visitor under J-1 Visa training program.

PERIOD: June 3– December 12, 2019 (require to have the capability to commit to the total term).

RATE OF PAY: Living stipend of $330/ month (USD).

COMMON HOURS OF SERVICE: 7: 30 a.m.– 5: 00 p.m. Monday– Friday.
some Saturdays required, some Mondays off.

Responsibilities & Obligations.

FIELD SERVICE (80% of program): Corps Members handle a group of 5-7 youths performing eco-friendly repair work. A Group Leader guides the group as they amount to repair work tasks throughout the Puget Sound location (in city, rural, and rural settings).

Job Execution: Corps Members are liable for the efficiency of attaining tasks and the quality of completion item under assistance from job workers. Corps Members and workers are liable for the security of themselves, their fellow workers, and members of the public who may be consisted of with tasks.

TRAINING & WORKSHOPS(20% of program): Corps Members get included completely in retreats, workshops, and field trainings. These sessions supply capabilities and context for the repair that Corps Members overall. Topics covered include eco-friendly repair work theories and concepts, natural deposit management and global eco-friendly issues, basic botany and ecology of the Pacific Northwest, management capabilities, and social and cross-cultural interaction.

Eligibility.

Eligibility for J-1 Trainee Visa:.
University degree in an involved field and 1 year of work experience.
OR.
5 years of work/volunteer experience in an involved field.

Ability to aim in all environment condition,.
Commitment to cooperation and synergy with peers from around the world,.
Conversational English ability,.
Ability to raise to 50 pounds (225 kg); Raise to 8 miles (13 km) while bring 40 pounds (18 kg) of weight for roughly 9 hours every day.

Interest for eco-friendly conservation, science, home entertainment or other involved field,.
