ENVIRONMENT MODIFICATION FOCUS: In Bhutan, nature and individuals advantage



The farmers, primarily females in low-altitude and hard-to-access towns, have special understanding of over 200 regional plant types, such as mountain ginger and rhododendron, which can be utilized in the manufacture of vital oils, lip balms, natural candle lights, bio-soaps and other high-value items.

A task supported by the United Nations Advancement Program (UNDP), intends to more research study and harness the capacity of these plants, train the farmers on biodiversity defense, and after that establish items for sale in profitable domestic and global markets.
