ETH Zurich Engineering for Development (E4D) Doctoral Scholarship Program 2018– Switzerland (175’000 CHF Grant)

The Engineering for Development (E4D) doctoral scholarships promote doctoral research study for the benefit of impoverished people in low-income countries. It approves 2 doctoral scholarships every year and promotes innovative jobs that are straight essential for improving the earnings of impoverished people in low-income countries.
The grant quantity is 175’000 CHF to cover the earnings costs of the doctoral students for 3 years. The E4D Program is kindly moneyed through the Sawiris Structure for Social Development.

Application treatment.
The application treatment consists of 2 actions.

Main action.
The prospect sends out a concept note to ETH International (Patricia Heuberger, patricia.heuberger@sl.ethz.ch). The due date for sending out concept notes is 15 October2018
Simply principle notes pleasing this requirements will be thought of. The E4D committee picks attractive concept notes and invites the prospect to develop a total proposal.
Second action.
Candidates whose concept note is chosen are invited to develop a total proposal together with the instructor who accepted display the job. If the possibility and the instructor do unidentified each other, they need to develop a conference to review the total proposal development.
This conference is either a face to face conference or a skype conference.
The total proposal has to be sent out to ETH International by the tracking ETH instructor. Due date is 15 January2019

— High English performance level is required.

— Optimal age: 40 years.
— Extraordinary MSc Degree and high scholastic performance is required.
— ONLY contact an ETH instructor with a concrete job principle.
— All ETH Departments are kept in mind here.
