The Naira on Thursday exchanged at N363 to the dollar at the parallel market in Lagos, the News Firm of Nigeria( NAN) reports.
The Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N470 and N415, respectively.
At the Bureau De Modification (BDC) window, the naira was cost N360 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N470 and N415, respectively.
Trading at the financiers’ window saw the naira closing at N 365.16 as financiers negotiated 223.63 million dollars for the day.
The CBN’ unique forex intervention at BDC window removed today with the sale of 15, 000 dollars to 4, 000 BDCs across the country.
Explaining the intervention as favorable, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, President, Association of Bureau De Modification Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), stated the intervention equated to the gratitude of the naira.
” The intervention sales began today throughout the nation and affected favorably on the gratitude of the Naira.
Over 4000 BDCs had the ability to access the intervention sales of 15, 000 dollars each,” Gwadabe stated.
He stated that ABCON was dedicated to partnering with the CBN to save the naira from the hands of speculators.
