The Naira, the other day, diminished to N36389 per dollar in the Financiers and Exporters (I&E) window due to a 53 percent decrease in the volume of dollars traded.
Information from FMDQ revealed that the a sign currency exchange rate for the window increased to N36389 per dollar the other day from N3636 per dollar recently Friday, equating to 29 kobo devaluation of the naira.
The volume of dollars (turnover) traded the other day in the window come by 53 percent to $8923 million from $18843 million recently Friday.
Likewise, the naira the other day diminished by 50 kobo in the parallel market.
According to naijabdcs.com, the live currency exchange rate platform of the Association of Bureaux De Modification Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), the parallel market exchange increased to N361 per dollar from N3605 per dollar recently Friday, showing 50 kobo devaluation of the naira.
