Need applications for the UN Women Beijing+25 Youth Task Force are now open. The year 2020 will be a confluence of anniversaries including the 25 th anniversary of the Beijing Conference and the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPfA), the five-year assessment of the Sustainable Development Goals, the 20 th anniversary of the adoption of the Security Council Resolution 1325, and the 10 th anniversary of the production of UN Women.

As we evaluate advancement made ahead of time women’s rights and gender equality, UN Women is devoted to ensuring that youths are at the centre of this treatment, focusing on the 25- year assessment and appraisal of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

It is within this context that UN Women is exposing a need applications for the structure of a time-limited Youth Task force that will work thoroughly with UN Women from August 2019 to September 2020, to ensure the considerable involvement of youths in the around the world treatments of the 25 th assessment and appraisal of the BPfA. The work of the Youth Task Force will be divided into 4 thematic committees (see the Regards to Recommendation). Prospects to the Task Force will be invited to recommend option for membership of a thematic committee.

The task force will consist of youths aged 14 to 30 years, recommended by their youth-led around the world networks, business or civic movements. Each business, network or movement can recommend as much as 2 potential customers. In case your business/ network is encouraging potential customers, who are minors, please ensure that all appropriate actions are needed to secure required authorization from parents/legal guardian prior to sending out the recommendation for a little. If a little possibility is picked, it will go through the plan of authorization and waiver files as requested for by UN Women.

Eligibility.

UN Females will select as much as 30 members for the Beijing+25 Youth Task Force from a pool of applications survived an open call. Prospects will be chosen versus the list below requirements:.

Issue will be provided to prospects that represent broad networks, youth organisations, and civic movements from the following constituencies; youth gender equality advocates, women human rights protectors, young male gender activists, rural, native, lesbian, bi, and queer women, trans, intersex, and gender non-conforming youths, disability, kid widows, kid brides, women dealing with HIV, young staff members including migrant staff members and domestic staff members, young migrants and refugees.
Election will search for broad representation from young advocates who focus their handle the 12 important places of concern of Declaration and Platform for Action: difficulty, education and training, health, violence, armed disagreement, economy, power and decision-making, institutional systems, human rights, media, environment, and the woman kid.
