The Kebbi State Commander of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Alhaji Suleiman Jadi said, yesterday, that a suspected Indian hemp dealer escaped arrest in Koko Besse Local Government Area of the state.
Jadi confirmed to newsmen in Birinin Kebbi that the suspect, popularly known as Hajiya Abu Musa, had been in the business for over 20 years.
“We are looking for her now. She is well-known as a notorious marijuana dealer in Koko community. All her exhibits are with us inside polyethylene bags. She is selling the drugs in pieces to her customers. We are seriously looking for her.”
He said the agency would try as much as possible to arrest the suspect to face the law, adding: “She is not above the law of the country.
“An eye witness said that whenever she was arrested, the power brokers in the state always come to her rescue. That is how she has always escaped from prosecution.”
