The Department of Science and Development (DST) Youth Science & & & & Development Journalism 1 year Internship Program 2018/2019 for young South Africans

Graduates in science and development, interactions and journalism are invited to ask for a 1 year internship program.
Reliable prospects will be placed at community media outlets in figured out towns in KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Northen Cape, North West, Western Cape and Limpopo * to produce item for broadcast, online and/or print media about science, development and advancement (STI). This will include developing popular brief posts about specific developments piloted in communities, in addition to advancements developed within communities.

This journalism task is dealt with by the South African Business for Science and Development Advancement, a business system of the National Research Study Research study Structure that focuses on promoting interest in STI.


An across the country diploma, BTech or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or communication/journalism.
Computer system literacy.
Outstanding social capabilities. Making up and/or radio and television capabilities.
A vehicle driver’s licence would be an advantage.


Reliable prospects will be launched for a period of as much as 12 months to getting included host organisations.
A stipend will be paid to interns every month as follows: National Diploma NQF Level 6 (R 4 500), Bachelor’s Degree/ B.Tech NQF Level 7 (R 5 000) and Honours NQF Level 8 (R 5 500).
