Sir David Attenborough released the environment action project in December 2018, welcoming individuals to share their ideas on environment modification. Countless influencers from all over the world signed up with the project by welcoming their social networks fans to utilize the hashtag #TakeYourSeat to collect individuals’s experiences and viewpoints, and with a reach of 1.3 billion, the jury applauded the projects ingenious technique to raise environment awareness.
The award was provided to Grey London ad agency, a member of the United Nations’ Commonalities effort, and UNFCCC, beating some 80 entries from all over the world that were shortlisted in the Sustainable Advancement Goals classification.
Another big element of the project is the interactive ActNow chatbot that advises day-to-day actions for individuals to minimize their carbon footprints– like taking a trip more sustainably, conserving energy or consuming less meat. By signing up and sharing their actions, individuals send out a message that people desire environment action and want to take it. ActNow highlights the effect that cumulative action can have at this defining moment in our world’s history. The more individuals act, the larger the effect.
The project is continuous and just recently released a sustainable food obstacle that welcomes individuals all over the world to make their specific contribution to sustainable food usage and to share their dishes online.
Environment Action Top.
On 23 September 2019, the United Nations Secretary-General will assemble an Environment Action Top in New York City, and is contacting world leaders to come with concrete, practical strategies to improve their nationally figured out contributions by 2020, in line with lowering greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent over the next years, and to net no emissions by 2050.
